Apple Event LIVE, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, Apple TV, Preview (video)

What to Watch for at Apple's IPhone Event: Apple is hosting its annual splash on Wednesday to unveil a new version of its most-important product, the iPhone. The company has also used the occasion to update customers, analysts and investors on its performance and other products—and this year will probably be no different. Bloomberg's Cory Johnson reports on "Bloomberg Markets," September 8, 2015.

If you are interested in attending the Apple September 9th event online, here are your options for LIVE coverage starting at 1:00 PM ET (US):
However, Apple's September 9th Launch Event, some say, may be a "less than impressed" non-event:
Apple TV 4 coming in October for under $200 | 9to5Mac:
  • One comment: "Sorry but there’s nothing game changing about overpricing your product. I personally wouldn’t mind paying $200, but it has to be completely deserving of its price tag and as of now, it doesn’t look like that’s the case."
  • Another comment: "The Chromecast [total cost: $35] was a game changing device because it was so cheap but has all the functionality of an Apple TV and then some. Most people don’t want to shell out $200 for a TV box because they simply aren’t necessary anymore."
According to 9to5Mac, Apple also plans to introduce the new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus on September 9th, which will include:
  • Force Touch-capable displays
  • new Rose Gold color option
  • 12 megapixel cameras with 4K video recording support
  • "more efficient" Qualcomm wireless chips
  • "faster" A9 processors with double the RAM and "better" battery life
  • "improved" front-facing cameras for FaceTime.
Apple, however, will not be introducing a new 4-inch “iPhone 6c” according to 9to5Mac.

Pricing for the new iPhones? Sorry you asked. With contracts going away at most wireless carriers, Apple iPhones will no longer be competitively priced compared to Android smartphones which often have superior performance and features. Expect to pay premiums of $300 to $600 more for a new iPhone than an equal or superior Android smartphone from Motorola, HTC, Huawei, Xiaomi, Samsung, LG, and others:
iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus prices on release date: 16GB, 64GB, 128GB | BGR"the iPhone 6s will sell for $649, $749 or $849 while the iPhone 6s Plus will cost $749, $849 or $949."
